Xbox is revamping its gamertag functionality to allow Xbox gamers to truly be able to express themselves in a way that matches their identity and gamers can also now choose any gamertag, even if it is taken.
As detailed on Xbox Wire, starting today, and throughout the next year, the Xbox Gamertag will be getting new features and options across PC, mobile devices, and Xbox One consoles.
Microsoft is unveiling a new display option for gamertags, as well as support for 10 new wordwide alphabets, including Basic Latin, Latin-1 Supplement, Hangul, Katakana, Hiragana, CJK Cymbols for languages in China, Japan and Korea, Bengali, Devanagari, Cyrillic, and Thai.
